A HEART'S POEM Print E-mail
Posted by Mark Aldeme Siladan

I remember the very first day I saw you
You were sitting on a wooden bench reading some chapters of a paperback novel
You were wearing a pretty face that made me feel like a still picture
You’re like the most attractive flower in a garden surrounded by butterflies of different colors.
Unlike the other flowers around you,
I could smell your unequaled fragrance even though you’re far from where I stood
From that day on, I can’t erase you in my mind
Because you’re already carved in my heart
I could see you wherever I look
When I’m asleep, you’re in my dreams
You made all things around me beautiful
I can hear harmony from somewhere each time I see you, whenever I hear your voice
There’s this one sure thing I know that’s true
This is something you really need to know
I think my heart was struck by cupid’s arrow
