src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"> Sometimes, I kept thinking what made me different from the people around me here (okey, aside from being a probinsyana or something) ... well maybe we are totally different. Talagang hanga yung mga tao dito sa'kin kasi they have language accent (e.g. like that of the ilonggos). But being a no-know to their binocular, I tend to speak Tagalog (leaving them no choice but to talk to me in Tagalog, too.). They would ask me "Sa'n ba ang Antique? Sa Luzon? Kasi ang galing galing mo mag-Tagalog." Got my point? We're too fluent and "hindi mahalata ang Kinaray-a accent natin" compared to others (you know what I mean) in terms of speaking Tagalog. And another thing, we had our history lesson and it was about EDSA revolution I way back in Marcos' time. Well the point is that, di ba? Provincial hero natin si Evelio Javier. Akalain mo naman na mayroon siyang documentary and talagang hinangaan siya coz of the heroic act he did (defended the ballot boxes during election, thus he was killed). Wow! Sabi ko sa katabi ko, "Provincial hero namin yan". What I'm trying to say is that we must be proud of where we come from no matter where we are right now. Tulad ko.. Ang sarap ng feeling to know what Antique has na wala sa iba. Okey ... I just miss my hometown. Hope this could help Antiqueños realize the true worth of being one. (You know what I mean) ...
