Local Chief Executives encouraged to implement anti-poverty programs Print E-mail

Local Chief Executives in this province were encouraged to commit the implementation of Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Program (AHMP) of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and support the Nutrition program in their areas.

These were the appeal of Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator in Region VI Nona B. Tad-y during the Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Program Advocacy and Consultation Meeting on Tuesday at Barrio House, San Jose, Antique.  

Tad-y said that Antique falls under Priority 2 provinces in the Hunger Mitigation assistance in the region.  Thus the province to include 18 towns will received assistance in the form of services including nutrition.

Reports show that poverty is still the root cause of hunger in the country.  Its either the people have no money to buy food or there is insufficient food to eat or not available at all.

President Arroyo has instructed all involved government agencies in the Accelerated Hunger Mitigation Program to fast track implementation in the 54 food-poor provinces nationwide to address poverty, hunger and malnutrition.

The Philippine Government has committed to improve the lives of the poor in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which were initiated by the United Nations in 2000.

It has committed to eradicate by one-half extreme poverty and hunger between 1990 and 2015.

Tad-y in a call to LGUs specifically mentioned the organization and reactivation of nutrition committees.  Make it functional and designate a full time nutrition action officer.  She also encouraged deployment of barangay nutrition scholars and health workers and implement hunger mitigation programs and measures.

Governor Salvacion Z. Perez in her message said that the province has started its nutrition program but should be more focus; we have food but should be managed and above all the population should also be managed.

The National Nutrition Council will put a Nutri-Eskwela school with focus only on proper nutrition and food habits in Laua-an town to help mothers learn and acquire skills in food preparation.

Kon sa akon ang opinion ang primero gid nga solusyon madura gid anay ang corrupción kag may transparensiya kon ano ang mga projecto kang continue monitorising kang mga projecto kag kon may anomalized sa pag tramitasyon kay wara man ti makita nga nami nga progreso pangita-an gid kang solusyon o e analized gid kang parte kang mga officers kag ang mga tawo hindi mag kahadlok mag reklamo.Ang mayad nga lawas ay deresto international kang mga tawo kag diya ang may responsabilidad ay ang gobierno kang kada nasyon as the Word health orgnisayon say ( CARTA OTTAWA 1986 )Tungod sa WHO ang pangpangalipay kang mayad nga lawas ay isara ka fundamental nga deretso kang tanan tanan nga mga tawo sa kalibutan with out distinction of human race, religion,ideolohiya politica,condisiyones ekonomika kag social.Kag ang kada nasyon may ana gid nga mga butang nga balyosopara sa anang mga kata-ohan nga mag fomentar kag mag proteher kang anang mga kata-ohan amo man ang pag kontrolar kang mga nakalain lain nga mga sakit nga puede kakatugro kang peligro sa iba nga mga tawo.Ang desaroyo kang mayad nga lawas sa mga kabataan ano gid ang pina ka fundamental kag indespensable para ang isara ka tawo o bata mag dara sa kaigo nga mayad nga kalawasan.Amo ra nga ang mga tawo ( opinion públiko ) nga informado gid kag may kooperasyon aktiba ay ang mga bahol gid nga kapital para mag nami ang mga lawas kang mga tawo. Mayad nga lawas ay mayad man ang ekonomiya.wara gutom wara poverty. Amo diya ang competensiya kang Department of Health.Kabay pa nga mabasa man diya kang mga officers kang tanan tanan nga mga klase kang mga departamento politiko kay hindi lang man diya problema kang health kundi sang tanan inkluido ang mga tanan tanan nga mga filipino para sa kauswagan kang tanan. salamat sa pag post kadya nga tema.[LIST][*]
