San Jose town gets P100T fund for educational activities Print E-mail

The Municipality of San Jose de Buenavista through the leadership of Mayor Rony Molina received financial assistance in the amount of P100,000.00 from Regional Synergeia Council intended for educational activities aimed at building capability of education stakeholders in the municipality. The Council composed of high ranking officials in the region namely, Hon. Rafael Coscolluela, Chairman Sugar Regulatory commission and currently member of the Synergeia Board of Trustees, Hon. Raul Banias, Presidential Assistant for Western Visayas, Mayor Esteban Coscolluela of Murcia, Mayor Jerry Treñas of Iloilo City, former Mayor Alfonso Gamboa of EB Magalona, Mayor Rony Molina San Jose de Buenavista, Antique and a member from the academic institution and other representatives of different provinces in Western Visayas was organized to effectively and efficiently implement the Education Reform Program in the Visayas. It is primarily responsible for coordination of all efforts geared towards education governance. The objective is to develop approaches vital to educational reform, and to reinvent the local school board, teachers and parents training, education summit and other related activities as conceptualized by the Synergeia National Council Members. The council will also formulate policies, raise resources for the organization, chair consultative meetings and implement education reform programs to further address the needs of pupils and students as well as capability enhancement of teachers suited to the educational situation at the local level. As counterpart to the financial support of the Regional Synergeia Council, Mayor Rony Molina allocated another P100,000.00 from the Municipal Government Local School Board (LSB) to be used for the forthcoming Education Summit to be participated in by teachers and members of the LSB in San Jose. Mayor Molina also said that this initiative is in cognizant to the program thrust of his administration on education and in line with governments effort in providing quality education for all “ Isulong and Karunungan – Labanan ang Kahirapan”.
