SELDA temporary trailer
True to form to their themes of love and its different vagaries, filmmakers Paolo Villaluna and Ellen Ramos follow up their highly-acclaimed debut film ILUSYON (Rated A 2005, Cinemanila IFF 2006, Pusan IFF 2006) with the tragic tale of 3 characters in Selda. The film stars Sid Lucero, Emilio Garcia and Ara Mina. Also starring are Michael de Mesa, Allan Paule, Soliman Cruz and Ping Medina. Set in two contrasting enivronments that undeline the same premise of imprisonment, Selda tells the story of Rommel, a young man who accidentally kills a boy, resulting in his incarceration. Inside the jail, he befriends another inmate, Esteban, who becomes his rock and protector. Seven years later, Rommel is living in the province as a farmer together with Sita his wife. Esteban tracks down Rommel in hopes of renewing a brewing love affair. Rommel and Sita welcome Esteban into their lives, until their intimacy crosses borderlines and results in the undeniable scourge of self-discovery. Selda is a return to classiscist forms and delivers a stylish, deliberately-paced treatise on love. At moments strange, Selda is a sublime and disquieting portrait of a young man whose search for happiness, innocence and true love is laden with guilt and doubt.

Imahe Nasyon Trailer
"WHAT HAPPENED AFTER 1986?" 20 YEARS. 20 FILMS. 20 FILMMAKERS. 1 NATION. IMAHE NASYON... a groundbreaking, conceptual omnibus film by 20 alternative filmmakers who were tasked to present their personal visions on national issues. It is underlined by a conceptual question asked by line producers Jon Red & Carol Bunuan-Red: "How do you see the past 20 years?" In 2006, IMAHE NASYON attempts to answer the question. That question also became a thematic and uniting thread across the films, but each film is made of different cinematic genres that is representative of the filmmaker's style, stressing the concept that in spite of individual visions we share the same goal: to depict a truthful image of the nation. The omnibus project was conceptualized by Jon and Carol in commemoration of Edsa 1, a political revolution that changed their generation forever. It is also a celebration of the struggle and growth of Philippine Independent Cinema which, in essence, is a cultural revolution only now gaining public acceptance. A unique and common element in IMAHE NASYON is rising Indie actor PING MEDINA who is featured in all the 20 films. He represents the next generation who will play a crucial role in the direction of the nation and its image. Imahe Nasyon was directed by Poklong Anading, Emman Dela Cruz, Yeye Calderon, Neil Daza, Lav Diaz, Tad Ermitaño, Mes de Guzman, Rox Lee, Topel Lee, Milo Paz, Robert Quebral, Ellen Ramos, Raymond Red, R.A. Rivera, Lyle Sacris, EJ Salcedo, Sig Sanchez, Dennis Empalmado, Ogi Sugatan, Paolo Villaluna

Utang ni Tatang Trailer
A dark comedy/action from writer/director Jon Red. This is the last part of the trilogy. The first one is Still Lives (1999), Astig (2004) and this one which was shot in 2002. Yes, this was made before the second part which is Astig. I didn't edit the movie but I have a small role with Epy Quizon on the earlier part of the movie. This is my own version of the trailer though as far as i remember parang ginaya ko lang o ginamit 'yung materials that was used on the original trailer. This was shot in 35mm film and won best cinematography in (2002) Manila Film Festival.
