Description: Alpha Phi Omega sets the standard for campus-based volunteerism and its goal is to further the freedom that is our national, educational, and intellectual heritage. For three-quarters of a century, Alpha Phi Omega has made a positive difference in the lives of college students while helping to improve the quality of life for individuals in need. More than 300,000 students have been initiated into Alpha Phi Omega since its founding on December 16, 1925. Currently our membership exceeds 17,000 students at approximately 350 colleges and universities. Alpha Phi Omega is based on three Cardinal Principles -- Leadership, Friendship and Service -- and is meant to aid each Member in discovering and developing leadership abilities, making and securing lasting friendships,and planning and providing useful services for others. Alpha Phi Omega is much more than an extracurricular activity. It is believed that within each of us there lies the potential to make our campuses, our communities, and our world better places in which to live. Alpha Phi Omega begins as a college experience, but it becomes a lifetime commitment to turning that noble ideal into a practical reality.
Who Can Join?
Membership is open to any student enrolled on a campus where a chapter exists. If there is no chapter at your university, but there is a campus nearby where a chapter is located, contact that chapter and they might invite you to become part of their service program.

Description: The INSTITUTE of ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS of the PHILIPPINES - VISAYAS REGIONAL CHAPTER (IECEP-VRC), the accredited professional organization of the electronics engineering profession, is encouraging all Electronics & Communications Engineers licensed under Republic Act (RA) 5734 to apply for conversion of their license to ELECTRONICS ENGINEER and later on upgrade to PROFESSIONAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEERS in accordance with the provision of the new Electronics Engineering Act of 2004, RA 9292.
RA 9292 provides for a more responsive and comprehensive regulation for the registration , licensing and practice of Professional Electronics Engineers, Registered Electronics Engineers and Electronics Technicians, repealing RA 5734, otherwise known as "The Electronics and Communications Engineering Act of the Philippines", and other purpose.
One of the requirements for the conversion to Registered Electronics Engineer and upgrading to Professional Electronics Engineer is membership in good standing with IECEP. All members are therefore advised to update their membership with IECEP as soon as possible in order to complete the requirements for conversion and upgrading of their licenses.
