Two fresh OKM albums out and ready

After a long stagnation in the Original Kinaray-a Music scene, two singers/composers have once again proved their love and passion for music crafted in and through the language of their blood and is out to awaken every Antiqueño/Filipino spirit.

Known for his musical antics, jolly melodies and straightforward lyrics depicting the ordinariness and beauty of Antiqueño life, Samuel Cesar “Sammy” Rubido keeps on painting Antique in the musical canvas in his latest album “Kaurumul” which is also its carrier single. The album includes the songs Lantay-lantay, Pitik, Plastik, Karya, Balay sa uma, Antique palanggaun, Uli run, the new version of Pamalaran,  Napulo ka sugo and Sikad-Lagaw which is the official theme song of a bicycling event initiated by the Provincial Tourism Office of the province of Antique this year. The album also includes the official theme song of Antique’s premier community website-organization www.kinaray-a.com/ Kinaray-a.com, Inc. which is Rubido’s gift to the said website-organization during its 2nd anniversary last year.

Another Antiqueño balladeer sings his heart and soul out with his songs in his new album “Atun tana diya”. Mark Anthony Quintela of Bugasong, Antique mixes the Kinaray-a crunch with his melodic renditions as he sings Ikaw palanggaun, Rugya lang ako, Antique oh, Antique, Probinsya, Atun tana diya, Hala bira, Estudyante, Sarigan mo, Ikaw ang paglaum, Dab-uta ang bituon, Pagtinguha and Luha. Quintela is known for his inspirational, emotional and patriotic compositions.

Listening to the songs of Rubido and Quintela would make you sing, fall in love, reminisce your childhood, miss someone or your homeland, love and care for your environment, know how it is to be blessed with true freedom, and many more but most of all, their songs would make you celebrate perpetually the Karay-a heritage and blood in you.
