There is a difference between commitment and involvement. Commitment is when you are just with your partner and the only one with your partner. When your mate is committed to you in your relationship they will make you feel loved. Many people make the mistake of thinking that love is just a feeling, but it is more an action than anything else. You can say "I love you" all you want, but if you do not back those words up with actions that make your partner feel loved, then you do not mean it when you say it.

When someone is honest with you, then you have a commitment. he is always truthful when it comes to his personal life..but.. i have still doubt.. because he told me once "do not trust anyone, not any man, not even me".. is that honesty? if it was then, is it commitment or involvement between us?

being in love means you open up yourself, the whole you but it does not mean that you wont think and analyzed what's happening between you two ..but sometimes being too doubtful about all his actuations will only cause a lot of confusion on your part and it will make you raise your defenses unconsciously ..sometimes we tend to be like this especially if our past relationships end on a rough road...

if you have a lot of unresolved issues about the why's and what from your previous relationship it will be a hindrance for you to really open up coz we tend to think that what happens before can happen again so this time you engulf yourself with all the defense mechanism you can master....by doing so we became a lil different from who we are before....and the bad part of this is we can't fully commit our selves

for me the part where he says don't trust anyone even me means he do love you but sometimes he can do things to hurt you sometimes unintentionally coz as a person nobody's perfect we tend to loose control of ourselves if we encountered extreme pressure were only humans that can be weak sometimes... by also saying that line his telling you that his not perfect but he will try coz of his love for you

for me that's one courageous act on his part...were always used to men saying just trust me and i wont let you down but their are instances that they did and coz we trust them on what they promised we tend to be disappointed and hurt...

Commitment only comes to those people who are ready enough to take the obligations and responsibilities tied with it. Experience and love can lead to a strong commitment. We may fall to temtations but if you think of the things you and your partner went through, the challenges that you overcame and the trials that you have encountered, and a little bit of prayer, you would be able to hold on to your commitment.
